WARNING
Personnel should stay clear of the boom while retracting or extending the boom cylinder. Use
slow easy control movements. Fast or jerky movements could cause the boom cylinder to
retract or extend suddenly and cause the machine to be unstable. Failure to comply may
result in injury or death to personnel.

With the aid of an assistant completely retract boom cylinder (Figure 4, Item 3).

Relieve hydraulic system pressure. (Volume 5, WP 0767)

With the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device (Figure 5, Item 4), lower boom cylinder (Figure 5, Item
3) to horizontal position.
