Pin Removal
WARNING
Boom cylinder weighs 465 lb (210 kg). Do not attempt to lift or move boom cylinder without
the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel.

With the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device (Figure 7, Item 4), remove pin (Figure 7, Item 23) and
boom cylinder (Figure 7, Item 3) from machine (Figure 7, Item 22).
28.
Place boom cylinder (Figure 7, Item 3) horizontally on a flat, stable work surface.
29.
Remove suitable lifting device (Figure 7, Item 4) from boom cylinder (Figure 7, Item 3).
NOTE
Shims may fall out during cylinder removal or they may be stuck to cylinder with grease.
30.
Remove two shims (Figure 7, Item 24) from machine (Figure 7, Item 22) or boom cylinder (Figure 7, Item 3).
31.
Remove fitting (Figure 8, Item 6) from boom cylinder (Figure 8, Item 3).
