Install O-ring (Figure 9, Item 26) and line (Figure 9, Item 18) to boom cylinder (Figure 9, Item 3) with four screws
(Figure 9, Item 25).
8.
Apply pipe thread sealing compound to threads of fitting (Figure 9, Item 6).
9.
Install fitting (Figure 9, Item 6) to boom cylinder (Figure 9, Item 3).
10.
Secure cylinder rod (Figure 9, Item 14) to cylinder barrel (Figure 9, Item 15) with twine (Figure 9, Item 16).
11.
Attach suitable lifting device (Figure 10, Item 4) to boom cylinder (Figure 10, Item 3) with two points of lift at
each end of cylinder barrel.

WARNING
Boom cylinder weighs 465 lb (210 kg). Do not attempt to lift or move boom cylinder without
the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel.
12.
With the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device (Figure 10, Item 4), position boom cylinder (Figure 10,
Item 3) on machine (Figure 10, Item 22).
NOTE
Install shims equally on each side of cylinder to get minimum amount of clearance in joint.
13.
Install two shims (Figure 10, Item 24) between machine (Figure 10, Item 22) and boom cylinder (Figure 10,
Item 3).
