BOOM GUARD REMOVAL
WARNING
Boom cylinders guard weighs approximately 93 lb (42 kg). Do not attempt to lift or move boom
cylinders guard without the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device. Failure to comply
may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Have assistant use wrench on the weldnuts on the strap clamps to prevent twisting. Failure
to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Note position of strap clamps prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

With the aid of an assistant and suitable lifting device, remove eight bolts (Figure 1, Item 1), washers (Figure
1, Item 2), and boom guard (Figure 1, Item 3) from four strap clamps (Figure 1, Item 4).
