METRI-PACK PUSH STYLE CONNECTOR REPAIR
WARNING
Ensure electrical power is off prior to working on all electrical connections. Prior to working
on or around vehicle, remove all jewelry, such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. Jewelry, and
tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a direct short,
severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Terminals come in different styles and sizes. Use only exact replacement. Do not attempt to
modify terminal to fit. Failure to comply may cause damage to component.
CAUTION
Extractor tool is fragile. Use gentle force when inserting tool. Do not force tool further into
connector body after a positive stop is felt. If wire does not release, remove tool and try again.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Tag and mark wires, connectors, and wiring harnesses prior to removal to ensure proper
installation.
Note position of each tie wrap and remove as required.

Remove connector lock (Figure 13, Item 29) from connector (Figure 13, Item 30).

Insert extractor tool (Figure 13, Item 31) into front of connector (Figure 13, Item 30).

Remove extractor tool (Figure 13, Item 31) and pull wire (Figure 13, Item 32), seal (Figure 13, Item 33), and
terminal (Figure 13, Item 34) from the rear of connector (Figure 13, Item 30) at the same time.
4.
Cut and remove terminal (Figure 13, Item 34) from wire (Figure 13, Item 32).
5.
Remove 1/4 in. (6 mm) of insulation (Figure 13, Item 35) from end of wire (Figure 13, Item 32).
6.
Install seal (Figure 13, Item 33) over insulation (Figure 13, Item 35) and align the two ends.
