NOTE
Terminal will seat only one way. If terminal does not push into the connector body socket,
check to make sure terminal is aligned correctly.

Insert terminal (Figure 16, Item 51) and wire (Figure 16, Item 50) into connector (Figure 16, Item 49) and push
until terminal (Figure 16, Item 51) stops.
7.
Pull on wire (Figure 16, Item 50) to confirm that terminal (Figure 16, Item 51) is locked in connector (Figure
16, Item 49).

WARNING
Ensure electrical power is off prior to working on all electrical connections. Prior to working
on or around vehicle, remove all jewelry, such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. Jewelry, and
tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a direct short,
severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Terminals come in different styles and sizes. Use only exact replacement. Do not attempt to
modify terminal to fit. Failure to comply may cause damage to component.
CAUTION
Extractor tool is fragile. Use gentle force when inserting tool. Do not force tool further into
connector body after a positive stop is felt. If wire does not release, remove tool and try again.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Tag and mark wires, connectors, and wiring harnesses prior to removal to ensure proper
installation.
Note position of each tie wrap and remove as required.

Remove connector lock (Figure 17, Item 53) from connector (Figure 17, Item 54).
