(18) Install hose reel valve assembly (Para 10-33).
(19) Install hose reel spring motor and arbor (Para 10-31).
(20) Install hose reel roller assembly (Para 10-30).
(21) Install hose reel hose assembly (Para 10-34).
d. Installation.
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds burn easily and give off vapors that are harmful to the
skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire when using these materials, and
use only in well-ventilated areas. If adhesives, solvents, or sealing compounds contact the skin or
clothing, wash immediately with soap and water, and rinse thoroughly. Failure to comply may result in
injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Perform Steps (1) and (2) if required.

Apply Loctite 243 on four screws (6).
(2)
Install two adaptor plates (5) on vehicle with
four washers (8), new lockwashers (7), and
screws (6).
Hose reel weighs 86 lb. (39 kg). Use an
assistant and follow safe working procedures
when lifting or moving hose reel. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to
personnel.
(3)
Apply Loctite 243 on four screws (2).
(4)
With the aid of an assistant, install hose reel (1) on two adaptor plates (5) with four washers (4), new
lockwashers (3), and screws (2).
