If required, remove two rivets (12) and footmans
loop (13) from fender (5). Discard rivets.

If required, remove four bolts (14),
lockwashers (15) and arm assembly (16) from
vehicle. Discard lockwashers.
b. Installation.
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds burn
easily and give off vapors that are harmful to the
skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep
away from open fire when using these materials,
and use only in well-ventilated areas. If
adhesives, solvents, or sealing compounds contact
the skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap
and water, and rinse thoroughly. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel.

If removed, apply sealing compound to four
bolts (14) and install arm assembly (16) on
vehicle with four new lockwashers (15) and bolts.
(2)
Position front fender (5) on vehicle.
(3)
Apply sealing compound to three bolts (6) and
install hold-down strip (7) on front fender (5).
(4)
Install retainer plate (4), four bolts (1),
washers (2), and new self-locking nuts (3) on
front fender (5).
(5)
If removed, install footmans loop (13) on
fender (5) with two new rivets (12).
NOTE
Step (6) is for the right front fender only.
(6)
If removed, install grab handle (11) and backing
plate (9) with four bolts (10) and new self-locking
nuts (8).
