Open cover (Figure 1, Item 15) and remove starter in-line fuse (Figure 1, Item 16) from starter in-line fuse
holder (Figure 1, Item 17).
NOTE
If ground cable requires replacement, perform Step (6).
6.
Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 18), lockwasher (Figure 1, Item 19), washer (Figure 1, Item 20), and ground cable
(Figure 1, Item 11) from ground point (Figure 1, Item 21). Discard lockwasher.
7.
Disconnect starter protection wiring harness connector (Figure 1, Item 22) from starter jumper wiring harness
connector (Figure 1, Item 23).
NOTE
If jumper wiring harness requires replacement, perform Step (8).
8.
Loosen screw (Figure 1, Item 24) and remove jumper wiring harness connector (Figure 1, Item 25) from starter
solenoid switch (Figure 1, Item 26).
9.
Disconnect starter protection wiring harness connector X137 (Figure 1, Item 27) from machine wiring harness
connector (Figure 1, Item 28).
10.
Disconnect starter protection wiring harness connector X138 (Figure 1, Item 29) from engine interface wiring
harness connector (Figure 1, Item 30).
11.
Remove screw (Figure 2, Item 31), washer (Figure 2, Item 32), and clamp (Figure 2, Item 33) from starter
protection wiring harness (Figure 2, Item 34) and cover (Figure 2, Item 35).
