Install jumper wiring harness connector (Figure 4, Item 25) to starter solenoid switch (Figure 4, Item 26) with
screw (Figure 4, Item 24).
14.
Connect starter jumper wiring harness connector (Figure 4, Item 23) to starter protection wiring harness
connector (Figure 4, Item 22).
NOTE
If ground cable is removed, perform Step (13).
15.
Install ground cable (Figure 4, Item 11) to ground point (Figure 4, Item 21) with washer (Figure 4, Item 20),
lockwasher (Figure 4, Item 19) and nut (Figure 4, Item 18).
16.
Install starter in-line fuse (Figure 4, Item 16) into starter in-line fuse holder (Figure 4, Item 17) and close cover
(Figure 4, Item 15).
17.
Install starter relay diode (Figure 4, Item 13) to starter protection wiring harness connector (Figure 4, Item 14).
18.
Install ground cable (Figure 4, Item 11), engine interface wiring harness ground connector (Figure 4, Item 10),
and starter protection wiring harness ground connector (Figure 4, Item 9), to starter motor ground terminal
(Figure 4, Item 12) with lockwasher (Figure 4, Item 8) and nut (Figure 4, Item 7).
19.
Install starter protection wiring harness connector (Figure 4, Item 5) and starter positive cable connector (Figure
4, Item 2) to starter motor solenoid terminal (Figure 4, Item 6) with lockwasher (Figure 4, Item 4) and nut (Figure
4, Item 3).
20.
Position boot (Figure 4, Item 1) over starter positive cable connector (Figure 4, Item 2).

FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Install engine compartment lower access cover. (WP 0593)
2.
Install pump compartment lower access cover. (WP 0601)
3.
Install cooling compartment lower access cover. (WP 0591)
4.
Connect negative battery cable. (WP 0521)
5.
Perform the Standard Follow-On Maintenance Instructions. (Volume 3, WP 0384)
