STARTER PROTECTION RELAY INSTALLATION
WARNING
Ensure electrical power is off prior to working on all electrical connections. Prior to working
on or around vehicle, remove all jewelry, such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. Jewelry, and
tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a direct short,
severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Install tie wraps as noted prior to removal.
1.
Install starter protection relay (Figure 4, Item 14) to slave receptacle panel (Figure 4, Item 5) with locknut (Figure
4, Item 17), washer (Figure 4, Item 16), and screw (Figure 4, Item 15).

Connect starter protection relay wiring harness connector (Figure 4, Item 13) to starter protection relay (Figure
4, Item 14).

FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE
1.
Connect negative battery cable. (WP 0521)
2.
Perform the Standard Follow-On Maintenance Instructions. (Volume 3, WP 0384)
