Perform Steps (7) through (10) only if
required.

Remove fuel tank step plate (Para 13-14).

Loosen two clamps (18) and remove hose
connector (19) from hose (17) and fuel
pick-up (20).
No smoking, flames, sparks, or glowing or hot objects are allowed within 50 ft. (15 m) of vehicle.
Fire or explosion may cause personal injury or death.
Fuel and oil are slippery and can cause falls. To avoid injury, wipe up spilled fuel or oil with rags.
To prevent possible injury, wear gloves and protective eye equipment when handling fuel. Failure
to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.

Remove fitting (21) and fuel pick-up (20) from fuel tank (22).
(10) Remove fitting (21) from fuel pick-up (20).
b. Installation.
NOTE
Ensure all wires and tubes are reconnected to positions noted prior to removal.
Perform Steps (1) through (4) only if parts were removed.

Install fitting (21) on fuel pick-up (20).
(2)
Install fuel pick-up (20) on fuel tank (22) with fitting (21).
(3)
Install hose (17) on fuel pick-up (20) with
hose connector (19) and two clamps (18).
(4)
Install fuel tank step plate (Para 13-14).
(5)
Install pump bracket (7) on fuel pump (14).
(6)
Install hose (17) on fuel pump (14) with hose
connector (16) and two clamps (15).
(7)
Install hose (13) on fuel pump (14) with hose
connector (12) and two clamps (11).
